Programme overview
The Post Basic Midwifery Programme is designed for qualified nurses who wish to specialize in maternal, newborn, reproductive, and women's healthcare.
Based on the NMCN curriculum, the programme provides advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills in antenatal care, labour and delivery, postnatal care, neonatal care, reproductive health, family planning, emergency obstetric care, newborn care, and health education.
Students gain extensive clinical experience under the supervision of experienced nurse-midwives and obstetric specialists, ensuring competence in managing both normal and high-risk pregnancies while promoting safe motherhood and reducing maternal and neonatal mortality.
