Department of Entrepreneurial Development Centre (EDC)
The Entrepreneurial Development Centre (EDC) equips students with entrepreneurial knowledge, innovation skills, and practical competencies that prepare them for self-reliance, wealth creation, and career diversification.
The centre provides training in entrepreneurship, business planning, financial literacy, digital entrepreneurship, innovation management, leadership, project development, small business management, and enterprise sustainability.
Students are encouraged to identify opportunities within the healthcare sector and develop innovative solutions capable of improving healthcare delivery while creating sustainable businesses and employment opportunities.
The centre also promotes creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, digital innovation, and collaboration with industry partners through workshops, seminars, mentorship programmes, and practical projects.

Dr. Ekpe Osim leads the Entrepreneurial Development Centre, where he champions innovation, entrepreneurship, and skills development among students. He oversees programmes that encourage creativity, problem-solving, business development, leadership, and enterprise creation within and beyond the healthcare sector. Under his leadership, the Centre empowers students with entrepreneurial knowledge and practical skills that foster self-reliance, innovation, and career versatility, preparing graduates to identify opportunities, create value, and contribute meaningfully to economic and national development.
